We were recently invited to spend a Corporate Volunteer Day at The Baby Bank in Holyport - a remarkable charity that has been re-gifting preloved and new items to families experiencing hardship in Berkshire and Buckinghamshire since 2015.
Emma-Louise East, Head of Client Services at Greens, shared "It was a fantastic opportunity to see the centre and understand all of the work that they do to support families in need. The Baby Bank provides essential items from baby necessities to school uniforms, maternity wear and children's clothes and toys. The charity really does an incredible job with a dedicated team of 40-50 volunteers and just two part-time staff members, and we are delighted to have contributed to their vital work."
The Baby Bank, which recently celebrated its 10th anniversary and was awarded the King's Award for Voluntary Service, has helped an impressive 40,000 individuals to date, including 7,500 in the last 12 months alone. With requests for assistance increasing by 40% this year and no government funding, their work is more important than ever.
